June, the last month before the summer holidays. The air is full of expectations about all the fun that is going to happen for the following 2 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Juin, le dernier mois avant les vacances d’\u00e9t\u00e9. L’air est plein d\u2019anticipation de tout le plaisir qui va arriver pendant les 2 mois qui suivent.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alex had exams at the beginning of the month and then he was on free-wheel after that. To finish off the school year, he went away for 4 days in the New Territories with his school. It was very hot and humid but he enjoyed his time except for the last day when they did a hike and there were huge spiders everywhere. Alex is really terrified of spiders and it was hell for him. Unbeknownst to him, he brought one spider back in his bag. I discovered it when I was packing our suitcases a week later. It was enormous and even I was scared of it. I threw it away in the bin a few floors down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alex a eu des examens de fin d\u2019ann\u00e9e au d\u00e9but du mois, puis c\u2019\u00e9tait la roue libre. Pour finir l’ann\u00e9e scolaire, il est parti pendant 4 jours dans les Nouveaux Territoires avec son \u00e9cole. Il faisait tr\u00e8s chaud et humide mais il a pass\u00e9 un bon moment, sauf le dernier jour o\u00f9 ils ont fait une randonn\u00e9e et o\u00f9 il y avait d’\u00e9normes araign\u00e9es partout. Alex est vraiment terrifi\u00e9 par les araign\u00e9es et c’\u00e9tait un enfer pour lui. Il a ramen\u00e9 une araign\u00e9e dans son sac sans le savoir. Je l’ai d\u00e9couverte en faisant nos valises une semaine plus tard. Elle \u00e9tait \u00e9norme et m\u00eame moi j\u2019ai eu peur. Je l’ai jet\u00e9e \u00e0 la poubelle quelques \u00e9tages plus bas.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emilie had her birthday party at the end of June. I organised a treasure hunt in the flat. It was good fun! I made a mango cake with mango buttercream and decorated with an eye in a magnifying glass. Hard work!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emilie a f\u00eat\u00e9 son anniversaire \u00e0 la fin du mois de juin. J’ai organis\u00e9 une chasse au tr\u00e9sor dans l’appartement. C’\u00e9tait bien amusant ! J’ai fait un g\u00e2teau \u00e0 la mangue avec de la cr\u00e8me au beurre \u00e0 la mangue et d\u00e9cor\u00e9 d’un \u0153il dans une loupe. Pas facile !<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

June is a bit of a blur for me. I guess I didn’t do anything new. I continued socialising with my group of friends at the Manhattan, going to the gym every week, running errands for the family and managing the house. I was also impatient to be on holiday. The last term of school was nearly 2 months without break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rien de sp\u00e9cial pour moi en Juin. Je n’ai rien fait de nouveau ; J’ai continu\u00e9 \u00e0 voir mon groupe de copines du Manhattan, \u00e0 aller au sport toutes les semaines, \u00e0 faire des courses pour la famille et \u00e0 g\u00e9rer la maison. J’\u00e9tais aussi impatiente d’\u00eatre en vacances. Le dernier trimestre de l\u2019\u00e9cole a dur\u00e9 pr\u00e8s de 2 mois sans interruption.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
