<\/figure>I didn’t have tickets to attend any of the 4 days of tournament. But Sebastien was invited on Saturday, the penultimate day. And what a day! The stadium was full to the brim for the competition. People are coming from all around the world to see it. But as Sebastien noticed, this is most popular with westerners. There were no Asian spectators. Loads of spectators were wearing crazy costumes. A bit like the London Marathon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Je n\u2019avais pas de billets pour assister au tournoi. Mais S\u00e9bastien a \u00e9t\u00e9 invit\u00e9 samedi, l’avant-derni\u00e8re journ\u00e9e. Et quelle journ\u00e9e ! Le stade \u00e9tait plein \u00e0 craquer pour la comp\u00e9tition. Les gens viennent du monde entier pour y assister. Mais comme S\u00e9bastien l\u2019a remarqu\u00e9, c\u2019est le plus populaire aupr\u00e8s des Occidentaux. Il n’y avait pas de spectateurs asiatiques. Beaucoup de spectateurs portaient des costumes. Un peu comme le marathon de Londres.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n Sebastien arrived for 10 am. He was seated in the “good” side of the stadium, where you can seat and there is not too many people. The other side of the stadium, was overcrowded with ebriated Brits and Aussies (and maybe a few Americans!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n S\u00e9bastien est arriv\u00e9 pour 10 heures. Il \u00e9tait assis dans le \u00abbon\u00bb c\u00f4t\u00e9 du stade, o\u00f9 on peut s\u2019asseoir et o\u00f9 il n\u2019y a pas trop de monde. L\u2019autre c\u00f4t\u00e9 du stade \u00e9tait surpeupl\u00e9 de Britanniques et d\u2019Australiens (et peut-\u00eatre aussi quelques Am\u00e9ricains !)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n There was some entertainment (fake Pink and Queen) and pompom girls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Il y avait des animations (faux Pink et Queen) et des pompom girls.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n There was also some rugby games. Rugby 7 is played with 7 players a side. I am not too sure about the rules but I guess the games are shorter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Il y avait aussi des matchs de rugby \u00e0 7 qui se joue \u00e0 7 joueurs de chaque c\u00f4t\u00e9.
