Here we are, in Heathrow waiting for our plane. It’s nearly 8 pm and we are boarding our plane. The kids are excited to watch all the movies for the 12 hour flight. They are excited about the blanket, the cushion, the meal, the entertainment. Everything is new for them! Emilie crashes to sleep around 10 pm. Alex stays up a bit longer, but by midnight, he’s off. I decided to stay awake as if I was on Hong Kong time. It is going to be a long flight! But with the kids asleep, and movies I haven’t seen, time flies. I slept a couple of hours.<\/p>\n

Ca y est, nous sommes pr\u00eats \u00e0 partir. Il est presque 20 heures et nous montons dans l’avion. Les enfants sont excit\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019id\u00e9e de regarder tous les films pendant le vol de 12 heures. Ils sont enthousiasm\u00e9s par la couverture, le coussin, le repas, les divertissements. Tout est nouveau pour eux ! Emilie s\u2019est endormie vers 22h. Alex est rest\u00e9 un peu plus longtemps, mais \u00e0 minuit, il \u00e9tait endormi. J’ai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de me caller sur l\u2019heure de Hong Kong. \u00c7a va \u00eatre un long vol ! Mais avec les enfants endormis et les films que je n’ai pas vus et que je vais enfin pouvoir regarder, le temps passe vite. J’ai quand m\u00eame dormi quelques heures.<\/em><\/p>\n

We landed in Hong Kong at 2.30 pm local time. Thankfully, I have been here a few weeks ago, so I know my way around the airport. We go from the plane through customs, baggage reclaim and to the taxi rack quite quickly.<\/p>\n

Nous avons atterri \u00e0 Hong Kong \u00e0 14h30 heure locale. Heureusement, je suis venue ici il y a quelques semaines, je connais suffisamment l’a\u00e9roport. La douane, la r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration des bagages et la queue des taxis, tout \u00e7a ne prend pas tr\u00e8s longtemps. <\/em><\/p>\n

The kids are super happy to see their dad. They both want to tell him everything that happened in the last few weeks. It’s very noisy! Sebastien has the perfect solution: the swimming pool. They leave me to the silent flat to start unpacking. All of the kids clothes are dirty and wet. The bags stink! So first stop is the laundry. Very exotic \ud83d\ude42 The laundry room is downstairs. A wash load costs HK$20 and the dryer costs HK$10 for 10 minutes. Even after 40 minutes, the clothes were not dry. We had wet clothes hanging on every chair and everywhere it was possible. We have to do something for next time!<\/p>\n

Les enfants sont super contents de voir leur p\u00e8re. Ils veulent tout lui raconter et parlent en m\u00eame temps ! S\u00e9bastien a la solution parfaite : la piscine. Je me retrouve seule dans l’appartement silencieux pour commencer \u00e0 d\u00e9baller. Tous les v\u00eatements des enfants sont sales et humides. Les sacs puent ! Premi\u00e8re tache : la lessive. Tr\u00e8s exotique \ud83d\ude42 <\/em>La laverie est commune et se trouve en bas de notre immeuble. La machine couteHK$20 et le s\u00e8che-linge coute HK$10 par 10 minutes. M\u00eame apr\u00e8s 40 minutes, le linge \u00e9tait toujours humide. Nous avons pendu le linge sur les chaises et partout o\u00f9 s\u2019\u00e9tait possible. Il va falloir am\u00e9liorer la technique pour la prochaine machine !<\/em><\/p>\n

We are in Happy Valley and our flat has a perfect view on the racecourse, the main attraction of the area. The flat is small and cohabitation is going to be hard…<\/p>\n

Nous sommes \u00e0 Happy Valley et notre appartement a une vue parfaite sur l’hippodrome, l’attraction principale du quartier. Notre appartement est petit. La cohabitation va etre difficile…<\/em><\/p>\n
