Another day, another adventure. The day was beautiful and we decided to all go to see the Big Buddha on Lantau island. That was a trip: bus to Ocean Park, Underground to Tung Chung via Central, cable car to the Big Buddha. In total, it took us between 1 and a half and 2 hours from door to door. But it was worth it! The buddha is 34 m high and perched on top of a hill. The site is very touristic but it wasn’t overly crowded. We had lunch in the Po Lin monastery. It is a vegetarian restaurant. The meal was interesting but not exactly delicious… It’s part of the discovery! After taking a lot of pictures, we went back home the same way.
Nouvelle aventure : Le temps était superbe, alors nous sommes allés voir le Big Buddha sur l’île de Lantau. Pour y arriver, nous avons pris le bus pour Ocean Park, le métro pour Tung Chung via Central et enfin le téléphérique. Au total, cela nous a pris entre 1 heure et demie et 2 heures porte à porte. Mais ça en valait la peine ! Le Bouddha a une hauteur de 34 m et est perché au sommet d’une colline. Le site est très touristique mais il n’y avait pas trop de monde. Nous avons déjeuné au monastère de Po Lin dans un restaurant végétarien. Le repas était intéressant mais pas vraiment délicieux … Ça fait partie de la découverte ! Après avoir pris beaucoup de photos, nous sommes rentrés chez nous par le même chemin.
