Saturday, it was raining. So we went to the Hong Kong Museum of Science. The museum was very busy and it was tiring. There were lots of hands-on displays but they were so crowded we could not try them. For me the highlight of the visit was the ‘World of Mirrors’ gallery. They used mirrors to make you disappear, appear upside down, etc. It’s amazing what can be done with mirrors! Emilie watched a movie showing human birth with images of the embryo in the womb and a very explicit finale of the baby being born. She was horrified.
Samedi, il pleuvait. Du coup, nous sommes allés au Musée des sciences de Hong Kong. Il y avait beaucoup de monde et c’était fatiguant. Il y avait plein d’expériences pratiques mais il y avait tellement de gens que nous n’avons pas pu les essayer. C’est dommage ! Pour ma part, ce que j’ai préféré, c’était la galerie «Monde des Miroirs». Ils avaient arrangé des miroirs pour faire comprendre les effets d’optique, un coup, on disparraissait, ou on était à l’envers, etc. C’était super ! Emilie a regardé un film racontant le développement de la vie dans l’utérus avec à la fin la naissance du bébé (très explicite) et elle en a été horrifiée.
Sunday, it was still raining. We went to the movies. Alex and Sebastien went to see The Meg and we went to see The Incredibles 2. After that we went to a restaurant to eat mussels 🙂
Dimanche, il pleuvait encore. Nous sommes allés au ciné. Alex et Sébastien sont allés voir The Meg (le remake des Dents de la Mer avec un requin encore plus gros) et nous sommes allés voir Les Indestructibles 2. Ensuite, nous sommes allés dans un restaurant manger des moules 🙂
The rest of the time, we played cards and went to the swimming pool. That’s a hard life!
Le reste du temps, nous avons joué aux cartes et sommes allés à la piscine. Dur, dur, la vie !
Oh, and Alex also went to the Warhammer shop with his dad and bought some cutters and glue to start building his new army.

My ears have been a bit strange all weekend. It felt like constantly being underwater. So I avoided going to the swimming pool. I was getting a bit of headache. I hope it will go away soon.
J’ai eu mal aux oreilles ce week-end. C’était comme s’il y avait de l’eau dedans. Ça me donnait mal à la tête. Du coup, j’ai arrêté d’aller à la piscine. J’espère que ça. J’espere que ca va vite passer.
