After almost a week of hot and stuffy weather, the heavens had broken and it was raining on Friday. I still thought that staying inside the whole day was not a good idea. So I decided to go buy another small box of lego. I found a place not far from us on the internet and this time, I checked how to get there without needing to walk. We took the tram. The terminus for the trams is downstairs so we could not miss it.
Après presqu’une semaine de temps chaud et étouffant, il s’est enfin mis à pleuvoir vendredi. Néanmoins, je pensais que rester toute la journée à la maison n’était pas une bonne idée. Donc, j’ai cherché un magasin de jouets sur internet pour y acheter une deuxième boite de lego. Cette fois, j’ai bien regardé comment y aller sans avoir à marcher. Nous avons pris le tram. Le terminus des trams est juste en bas de l’immeuble, impossible de le rater.
We could not find the toy shop when we arrived. We hesitated and looked around and someone stopped in the street to help us. The shop was inside a building, that’s why we could not see it from the street. That was a small shop packed full with lego. A paradise for Alex and Emilie. But it was also hard to come out with only one small box, Emilie wanted to buy everything!
Une fois sur place, nous n’avons pas trouvé le magasin de jouets. Nous hésitions et regardions autour de nous quand quelqu’un s’est arrêté dans la rue pour nous aider. En fait, la boutique était à l’intérieur d’un bâtiment, c’est pourquoi nous ne pouvions pas la voir de la rue. C’était un petit magasin rempli de lego. Un paradis pour Alex et Emilie. Mais c’était aussi difficile de ressortir avec une seule petite boîte, Emilie voulait tout acheter !
On our way to the toy shop, the tram stopped in front of a Warhammer shop. Alex was super happy and couldn’t wait to go and have a look around.
En allant au magasin de jouets, le tram s’est arrêté devant un magasin Warhammer. Alex était super content et était très impatient d’y aller faire un tour.
On our way back, we got soaked! Our first real Hong Kong rain. It was a small rain according to the locals, but we were wet very fast, according to our standards!
En rentrant, nous nous sommes fait saucés ! Notre première vraie pluie Hong Kongaise. C’était une petite pluie selon les habitants, mais nous étions très mouillés, selon nos normes !
Tram are just great! From Happy Valley, we can go anywhere in the north of the main island where there are all the shops.
Le tram, c’est fantastique ! De Happy Valley, nous pouvons aller n’importe où dans le nord de l’île principale où se trouvent tous les magasins.
